About Us
Sheryl Lunstrum
Sheryl Lunstrum and her husband moved to New Orleans to assist friends in need after the 2005 devastation of hurricane Katrina. As an artist, she was immediately inspired by the charm and complexity of this unique city.
She was thrilled to attend the famous and infamous New Orleans Mardi Gras parades where she collected millions of beads and she began to create the pieces she now displays in her gallery. She discovered a new medium, using her skills and unique sense of humor to 'paint' with these vivid and colorful beads.
The PEARL ART GALLERY was soon opened and the world became her oyster.
MS Lunstrum holds a degree in Fine Arts from Boise State University.
L. Steve Williams is a self-taught artist, who has strong roots in his Houma Indian heritage. Williams was born on August 13th in New Orleans, La. He has lived here most of his life, with the exception of a 4-year stint in the U.S. Marine Corps, in which he traveled to various places throughout the world.
If you ask him how his career as an artist started, he’ll give this simple reply, “’cause I had to create!” Steve's work instantly triggers a sense of pain as well as a lust for life. Referring to his work as “Erotic Pop Art”, it is obvious that women, love, hate, and music fuel Williams’ creations. Being an illustrator, painter, print maker, & occasional music producer/promoter, art is his life. He is a product of twentieth century pop art and culture. Everything around him triggers the urge to create. His passion for art is driven by life itself; by the images and actions that the people around him produce. Currently, Steve works in New Orleans as a graphic designer and as an artist. If he’s not in his studio creating, he’s probably out on the streets of New Orleans immersed in inspiration.
